AQUIFER

Atmospheric water generation for remote resilience

Aquifer is Ecliptic Labs’ atmospheric water generation platform, designed to help remote and off-grid sites generate clean water at their location, reducing dependence on transport-based or groundwater supply, and strengthening operational endurance.

Through recent advances in material science, atmospheric water harvesting is now a viable option even in harsh environments.

The problem it addresses

Access to water remains one of the most significant constraints on remote operations. From small mobile worksites up to major projects, water – especially potable water – still depend entirely on external transport or access to bore water, scheduled deliveries, and vulnerable storage systems. This adds cost, complexity, and genuine operational risk. In more demanding environments it can become the most limiting factor on how long a site can run.

And that challenge is only growing. Water scarcity is increasing across many of the regions where rural and remote industries operate.

What Aquifer does

Aquifer generates water directly from ambient air, a source that exists independently of underground aquifers, rainfall, or supply infrastructure. Aquifer allows sites to produce what they need, right where they need it.

This shifts water from a supply liability into something that can be managed and generated locally, reducing exposure to permit delays for bores, groundwater exhaustion, and transport costs and lead times.

The broader case

For many sites, water isn’t just a utility, it’s a constraint on how long and how well operations can run. Atmospheric water generation offers a way to reduce that constraint, without depending on the infrastructure, logistics chains, or geographic conditions that make conventional supply difficult or sometimes impossible.

Aquifer is designed to be deployable either as a standalone solution or as part of the wider Ecliptic Labs platform with SunKeeper and Helios.

SunKeeper: Intelligent solar tracking and power platforms for remote operations

SunKeeper is our hardware platform family for intelligent solar tracking, energy management, and rugged deployment capability across fixed and mobile field environments.

The problem it addresses

Many remote and temporary sites still run on diesel generators and disparate systems for communications, energy storage, lighting, and safety. The result is higher costs, heavier logistics burden, and operational risk.

What SunKeeper offers

The main limiting factors for solar power in the field has been energy yield, and energy availability when there is no sun. Sunkeeper combines advanced solar tracking with intelligent energy storage and management to overcome these limitations. The result is a practical platform for autonomous field power, with a modular design so that units can be deployed solo or daisy-chained.

HELIOS

Helios: Intelligent infrastructure platform

Helios is the monitoring, automation, and optimisation platform across the Ecliptic Labs ecosystem. It takes a site from a bunch of siloed systems and turns them into managed, responsive infrastructure.

It is also one of the aspects that separates a SunKeeper deployment from other solar options. Most remote power setups give you a simple energy output, but Helios gives you a system; one that can be monitored, controlled, optimised and easily integrated with everything else on site.

The problem it addresses

Traditional remote site setups often provide energy without integration, visibility, or meaningful control. Key functions stay disconnected, and operators have little insight into how the site is actually performing.

What Helios does

Helios monitors generation, alternate inputs, storage, loads, and connected site systems in real time.

Core functions include automated energy optimisation, remote monitoring and control, load prioritisation, lighting and security integration, communications coordination, and broader operational oversight. Helios can also interface with third-party equipment already on site, meaning it doesn’t require a clean-slate installation to add value.

A site running Helios isn’t just powered, it’s managed. It enables a whole site to run intelligently rather than as fragmented ecosystems. This has real consequences for cost, safety, and operational reliability.
